Football takes its stand against #Ebola

Hi everybody:

Last year early Dec 2014, to be exact 02 December 2014, a communication campaign was uploaded on YouTube and other forms of media channel viewing Yaya Toure, Idris Elba, Patrick Vieira, Fabrice Muamba and other famous football stars WeAreAfricaUnited. The comm. campaign is about West Africa United vs Ebola, taking a stand against Ebola, acknowledging the compromise of doctors, nurses risking their lives for the better of African people inclusive of those affected by the disease.

For me personally the story is very informative, inspiring and the Team concept just completely won my heart and soul. The educational message is strong but not as  deadly as the virus obviously but with synergy and solidarity the impossible is nothing. This is a big team filled with big international health organizations, Sports governing bodies, cooperation's and West African people.

  1. The campaign was very successful and it went viral and many people responded positively to the campaign. Soccer and Ebola. It was great idea to mix the two hence soccer has a huge following.

  4. I think football stars are idolised by a big popularity of man in this world and for them to humble themselves and not be self centred is good. Ebola fighters need words of encouragement, moral support and our prayers.
