Deaf and physically challenged run up the Emirates.

fcarsenaltickets.co.uk

Recently Arsenal football club, has hosted a PR campaign to inspire and motivate Incapacitated people into sports. Disabled people need more motivation and belief, so for a football club like Arsenal to come up with good initiative like (Arsenal hosts Paralympic sports legacy drive) its a good boost for awareness and to instill belief in those who have any disability.

"Youngsters from a variety of disability sports sessions coordinated throughout the year by Arsenal in the Community kicked off the event with a penalty shoot-out on Emirates Stadium’s award-winning pitch"Arsenal FC. This is one of the ways the organising commitee and the PR department, motivated the kids. I think it's a good CSI campaign to show the importance of giving back to the community. Football clubs like ArsenalFC are leading by example and instead of being ignorant, we need to learn from them and make the world a better place.

Add caption
"Pupils from The Bridge Primary School, Treehouse, Hackney Learning Trust (Horizon School) and players from Arsenal’s visually impaired and deaf football teams all lined up to take a penalty on the hallowed turf"Arsenal. Whats better than standing on the same pitch, your football heros have stood on? Delegates from the Paralympic and Olympic organising commitee where also invited to promote this initiative. Beautiful stuff, now sports is bringing disabled and abled together on the same platform to learn, cherish and embrace what life brings.

I think sports shouldn't be underestimated at all and instead be incouraged to all pupils disabled or not. Who knows what you can do or can't do? ArsenalFC and their PR department did a beautiful job. Who knew deaf  people can play soccer, and not only them some have major speech and communication problems.

The schools who participated in the campaign and the challenges they face:

  •  Robert Blair School, Islington - Arsenal in the Community works with this mainstream primary school which has a language and communications Resources Unit (LCR unit).
  • The Bridge Primary School, Islington - A school for young people with severe and multiple learning difficulties, autism and also other severe physical impairments.
  • Oak Lodge School - A Secondary School for children with mild to severe learning difficulties.

                                                                       Yes You can!!

  3. Yes You Can!! A phrase of little effort, but with a huge effect...Who said PR was just for publicity, Arsenal proved that being Disable is not being Incapable!I wonder how would a soccer match would be conducted though...food for thought? MokD

    1. Mok don't push your luck with the match, but yeah PR is bigger than we thought, we need to just see it! "it's like maths".

  4. Wow Arsenal is showing people that if one can do it then what can stop a disabled person from doing it and this is one great initiative by the team because it shows that they really care about these kids.

    1. Vinny disabled doesn't mean incapable, so yeah i agree, great initiative and beautiful csi programme. The mosst amazing thing is that arsenalFC has been supporting these schools for years, so the consistency has been amazing.

  6. FIFA has led by example, it's all well & good that the north Londoners are following suit.

  7. I always thought Frank Lampard was disabled, in some way. This is a great movement, but I doubt it would work in our country.

    1. Lampard is not disabled, and South Africa can adopt the concept, i think the problem lies with our main objectives and what is pivortal in this very moment.
