The football world have experienced worst month as two players becoming victims of cadiac arrests. The Big hype is more about the former the former Arsenal player Fabrice Muamba, currently playing for Bolton Wanderas. The question is, how is it possible that the medical team miss it or did they really miss it? I will conclude the blog by touching base on the solutions that the clubs came up with to prohibit the same situation from happening.
Fabrice Muamba collapsed during the Tottenham FA Cup match at White Hart Lane Staduim. According to London Chest Hospital Doctors Muamba was dead for 78 mins. In an emotional interview, Dr Tobin said "It was 48 minutes when he collapsed to reaching hospital and a further 30 minutes after that. He was, in effect, dead at that time"BBC sport. Most describe Muamba's situation as miraculous. Till today Doctors haven't found the real cause of Muamba's cadiac arrest. Muamba's case is very rare, thats why it has been so newsworthy, people sending their regards through twitter, facebook, and other mediums. This has scared the whole football faternity but most importantly the football fans want to know what caused the 23 year old to have that heart attack.
The most important question is how did the medical team almost fail fabrice Muamba. Bolton Wanderas FC is a football club that competes in high level football, their facilities are one of the best but a football player nearley died, well died for 78 mins. I guess we are all human beings and instead we should be gratefull that the man is progress of getting better and stronger. Too the Football clubs we hope that this episode was a learning curve and that they will do anything in their power to keep players fit and HEALTHY.
This does seem miraculous maybe the heart attack could have come from overexsurstion a study must go into finding out the effects of working out too much
ReplyDeleteAfter all we are human beings, football clubs need remeber that. Football has transformed dramatically during the years and clearly more is required from the players and their bodies are starting to give in.
Deletewell one thing i can say is that the clubs doctors are either incompetent or not quelified to practise because it is a known fact that footballers go for regular tests to see how they coping in and off the pitch so these is one of the most tragic incidents to ever happen in the history of football and such cases need to be seriously looked at to prevent such tragidies from happening.
ReplyDeleteI understand the passion V but it could be more than that e.g. maybe clubs are forcing players to play under bad health conditions, the has been cases where clubs force players to play while still injured.
DeleteI would put the blame on the medical team, how could this happen under their watch? Teams must not force players to play even when they cant be able to.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Mok, that was sloppy of them but hey they went from zero to hero by reviving the Bolton Wanderas star (Muamba).
